Example Scenarios
Example 1: Factory-Installed Equipment
A customer purchases a 2024 Jeep Gladiator Sport S with factory-installed side steps (MSRP: $595). The dealer can claim reimbursement for $595 under the AutoAbility Program.
Example 2: Package-Included Equipment
A 2024 Ram 1500 Longhorn includes side steps in a package. Since it does not have a standalone MSRP, a similar model’s pricing is used, with a maximum reimbursement of $750.
Example 3: Aftermarket Installation
A dealer installs Mopar Running Boards on a customer’s vehicle. Since Mopar is an approved brand, the installation qualifies for reimbursement.
Additional Benefits
- Tax Benefits: Customers may qualify for tax exemptions or refunds.
- Order Protection: Factory-ordered vehicles with installed adaptive equipment are protected.
